Natalie Portman finds herself among an exclusive group of ambassadors for Richard Mille. Referred to as ‘friends of the brand’, she joins a group normally reserved for top athletes, such as tennis champ Rafael Nadal, golf champ Bubba Watson and F1 champ Felipe Masa. In recent times, Mille has joined up with several actors to design special watches and support various causes, including Jackie Chan and Michelle Yeoh. Portman, an acclaimed actress who’s won Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild, Independent Spirit and BAFTA awards, with her first Oscar for his leading role in Black Swan, is also an known activist for human and animal rights.

Natalie Portman new partnership with Richard Mille also goes to support and promote a great charity, as revealed as a recent celebrity gala dinner at New York’s St. Regis Hotel. Portman will work with Mille to design a new, limited edition ladies watch, with proceeds going to support the international Free The Children charity. Free The Children is a program that spans over 40 countries and over one million children, to help develop educational and developmental programs. Since its launch in 1995, its work has created more than 650 schools and school rooms to children around the world, along with health care, sanitation and clean water.
The watch she’s been seen wearing isn’t her design, it’s actually one of Richard Mille’s original ladies watch, a white gold RM007 with diamond pave, very similar to this full diamond pave version at Luxury Bazaar. This modern but elegant automatic watch is pave set with conflict-free diamonds, available with either a natural rubber, synthetic or satin strap.
While Mille doing the primary, technical design for her upcoming timepiece, Portman, like with other ‘friends of the brand’, is set to style and shape it to her tastes.
