The spectacular Sofia Vergara was seen wearing an equally spectacular collection of Harry Winston jewelry at the Golden Globes last week, totaling $5 million for only five pieces. The Colombian actress is now well known for her role on ABC’s Modern Family, which she was nominated for a Golden Globe for. While she didn’t win the award, her looks won over many in the media, fashion industry and with fans, with help from her Harry Winston accessories and her navy blue Vera Wang gown.
The $5 million worth of jewelry picked for her was great match, with the most striking pieces coming from Harry Winston’s new “Ultimate Adornments” collection. Started in 1932 by Harry Winston, his jewelry has always been associated with the women of Hollywood and royalty. Their new “Ultimate Adornments” collection marks their largest single collection released, with 40 one-of-a-kind diamond and platinum pieces.
Harry Winston’s art director looked through the company’s 10,000 designs to pick a series that invoke a sense of old Hollywood. Various traditional cultural dress were used as inspiration, from classical France, India, China and more. So each “adornment” continues the timeless looks of traditional costume jewelry that has been worn for hundreds of years.
The pieces Sofia Vergara is seen wearing from the new Ultimate Adornments collection include the 31.58 carat “Mrs. Winston” earrings. Two bracelets are seen on her wrist, one is the 62.72 carat “Mrs. Winston” bracelet. The other is the Caftan bracelet, inspired by the traditional Indian Kaftan dress. She is also seen wearing two regular ol’ diamond and platinum rings.
